Newsletter Spring 2007

Dear Well Wisher

See our Newsletter in full here.

Welcome to the Spring edition of the ENCOMPASS newsletter! We have had a busy New Year – running programs, fundraising and raising the profile of ENCOMPASS both here and abroad. We hope that you are able to take a few moments to read about some of the exciting news from the world of ENCOMPASS!

In February we ran our Fifth Journey of Understanding – ENCOMPASS’ tenth program to date. This program was a partnership between ENCOMPASS and the Metropolitan Police’s Crime and Disorder Reduction Team in Westminster. The program was part funded by The Dulverton Trust.

Perhaps the most important thing to happen to ENCOMPASS since the last newsletter was published was that the Trustees commissioned a consultant to write a report on the internal structure of ENCOMPASS and to make recommendations about the way forward for the organization. The process was an extremely rewarding one for ENCOMPASS. It allowed everyone connected with the organization to think about the long-term aims and how best we can achieve them.

The office in Gee’s Court has also been transformed in that period. Gone are the old beasts of computers that we had, and in their place are shiny new flat-screened sleek things and Macbooks! Our thanks to an anonymous donor, Angus MacKirdy and Bob Gilchrist for making all this happen.

Speaking of Angus, everyone at ENCOMPASS is delighted to announce that he has now become a UK Trustee! Angus has been supporting ENCOMPASS since its inception and we are delighted that he has chosen to formalize his relationship with us in this way. Angus is a great addition to the ENCOMPASS family and we all look forward to working with him for long to come.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Andrea Miles for her continued support and increasing involvement with ENCOMPASS providing her expert experience on all areas of fundraising.
