Autumn Newsletter 2008

Newsletter - Autumn 2008

Dear Friends,

Autumn Newsletter 2008

Welcome to another jam packed edition of the Encompass Newsletter!

We hope you’ve been enjoying a wonderful summer despite the less than summery
weather. Having said that, the players in this year’s Encompass Cricket Extravaganza couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful day back in June when they turned out in their best attire to bat and bowl in Brighton.

Diversity in the UK

The big event of the summer was undoubtedly ‘Diversity in the UK’ in the
first week of July, the first UK-wide programme run by Encompass, which brought together 20 young people from all corners of the nation for a week to remember. This time, Encompass has left it up to some of the participants themselves to give their own exciting accounts of what ‘Diversity in the UK’ meant to them.

Volunteer Focus

Our programme participants aren’t the only ones appearing in this edition of the newsletter. We also have a special feature focusing on Encompass
volunteers. Check it out and be inspired!

Tears and smiles in the Office

This month Encompass bade farewell to Fundraising Manager Alison Criddle and welcomed Steve Hallam to the Encompass team. Find out all about Steve in his profile.

There is also lots of exciting information about what Encompass has planned for the coming months, so read on and enjoy…

Best wishes,

The Encompass Team
